NCM CORVETTE
Evening Festivities
The NCM Block Party
was true to the American Heritage - Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie &
Chevrolet for all the Caravaners. The baseball of course was an NCM
50th Anniversary Baseball and of course the Chevrolets were Corvettes!!!

The large NCM
Amphitheater was the site for the Festivities |

Due to the heat, most
everyone was sitting back or on the sides, out of the sun. A
Corvette brought in the flags for the opening ceremony. |

Vetter's raised their
own flags during the National Anthem - Brian Arner's rendition of "God
Bless the USA" was also a favorite |

Bob Patrella gave a huge jump start to the NCM building campaign with his
offer to match every penny raised during the celebration. True to
his word, on Monday morning Patrella handed over a check for $85,000, "on
behalf of my family, my 25 Corvettes, and the beginning of my bankruptcy"
he stated.
The Australian Caravan
Captain James Pierce donated the shirt off his back even. The shirt
went for $3,000 during the ad-hock auction - bought by Paul Harrington, on
behalf of the Rhode Island caravan. |
