...Bill
Williamson (the Florida Caravan Roadmaster) put some information together to help a group of us get
together. Bill made sure he did a disclaimer as well ;-)
Disclaimer...
"Lets get the
disclaimer out of the way. This tour has nothing to do with anyone.
It is not sponsored by anyone and there is no one to complain to if you
donšt enjoy the drive or have fun. Of course if you donšt have fun
in a Corvette on this beautiful drive with hundreds of curves then you are
more than likely a boring person anyway, so stay home. This is for
the FUN People. People that like to drive their Corvettes. Once
again this is a disorganized trip, with no starting time. Make this trip
and you just may have the time of your life !"

A
visit to the
Biltmore Estate
was on our plans, until the remnants of Hurricane Bill came thru with lots of
heavy rain.
From what I
understand, most of the TOD Participants did continue on, to tour the Estate.
We decided that we should head for Texas.
This estate is considered the largest privately owned home in the United States, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
It was built as a country home by George W. Vanderbilt in 1895. The 250-room
French Renaissance chateau houses a collection of priceless antiques,
paintings and tapestries.
